Senior Clinical Fellow – Haematology with CAR‑T focus

About the role

The NHS Grampian team is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow (ST3+) to join the Haematology department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This full‑time, fixed‑term position supports the regional haemato‑oncology and CAR‑T service, providing specialist care to patients across the north of Scotland.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver clinical care in the Haematology Day Unit, outpatient clinic and inpatient wards.
• Participate in the on‑call registrar rota for adult Haematology & Oncology after appropriate training.
• Provide laboratory cover and liaison advice to primary and secondary care colleagues.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of the CAR‑T cellular therapy service.
• Engage in clinical research, teaching and training activities.

Required profile

• Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC, held prior to start date.
• Strong ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and develop collaborative relationships.
• Positive, innovative attitude with a commitment to continuous learning.
• Willingness to take part in on‑call duties and service development.

Required skills

• Cellular therapy expertise, particularly CAR‑T.
• Haematology clinical knowledge.
