Senior Staff Nurse – Ward 309 (Gynaecology, Breast & Oncology)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Band 5/6 Registered Nurse to join Ward 309, an 18‑bed acute surgical ward specialising in gynaecology, breast surgery and gynaecological oncology. The role offers the chance to develop clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team and deliver high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients on an acute surgical ward.
• Coordinate and lead the multidisciplinary team in delivering specialist gynaecology, breast and oncology services.
• Support the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care in line with NHS standards.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans and clinical pathways.
• Participate in audit, teaching and continuous improvement activities.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (Band 5/6) with experience in an acute NHS setting.
• Demonstrated clinical leadership and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and professional development.
• Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
