Sales Development Representative (SDR)

About the role

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will be the first point of contact for GP practices, Primary Care Networks and Federations, helping an independent RPA SaaS business generate qualified opportunities within the NHS and primary‑care sector. You will work on‑site in Cape Town, following UK business hours, to prospect, qualify and hand over leads to Account Executives.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify potential NHS and primary‑care clients using LinkedIn, CRM tools and industry directories.
• Engage prospects through cold calls, personalised emails and social media to introduce automation solutions.
• Assess lead suitability based on practice size, needs and readiness for automation.
• Schedule discovery meetings for Sales Executives with qualified leads.
• Maintain accurate interaction records and progress updates in the CRM system.
• Provide timely follow‑ups and share feedback on lead quality with sales and marketing teams.
• Stay up‑to‑date with NHS policies, industry trends and competitor offerings.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in sales, lead generation or customer‑facing roles, preferably in healthcare or technology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to persuade healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Competitive basic salary of R25,000 – R30,000 per month plus commission.
• Full‑time, on‑site role in Foreshore, Cape Town.
• Standard working hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM UK time.
