Roadfreight Crossborder Controller

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Roadfreight Crossborder Controller to oversee and coordinate cross‑border road freight movements in and out of South Africa. The role ensures compliance with customs regulations, maintains high service standards, and drives operational efficiency within a fast‑paced freight forwarding environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage cross‑border road freight movements into and out of South Africa.
• Ensure compliance with customs documentation and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with transporters, clearing agents, and clients to guarantee smooth cargo flow.
• Monitor and track shipments, providing accurate updates to stakeholders.
• Prepare and process invoices, costings, and operational reports.
• Resolve queries and discrepancies promptly to maintain client satisfaction.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and service providers.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and service level agreements.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 / Matric.
• 3‑5 years of experience in cross‑border road freight operations within clearing & forwarding.
• Solid understanding of customs clearance processes and documentation.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Freight forwarding system experience (CargoWise preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office.
