Distribution Manager

About the role

Coca‑Cola Beverages Africa is seeking a Distribution Manager to join its Pretoria team. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will lead the execution of the distribution strategy, ensuring timely and complete product delivery while meeting cost, quality, safety and service targets.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy the distribution strategy, provide budgeting input and monitor expenditure against forecasts.
• Plan and manage resource requirements, including headcount, overtime and fleet availability.
• Oversee fleet size, age, utilisation and conduct audits to ensure compliance.
• Execute the depot distribution plan, monitor routing and scheduling processes, and display KPI targets to the team.
• Lead strategic distribution projects from scoping through to close‑out, communicating progress to stakeholders.
• Maintain continuous crisis‑management reporting and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in distribution or logistics management, preferably within a large beverage or FMCG environment.
• Strong analytical ability to diagnose performance gaps and develop optimisation plans.
• Demonstrated capability to manage budgets, resources and large fleets effectively.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to lead teams, handle crisis situations and drive continuous improvement.
