Warehouse Manager

About the role

Our client in the wine industry is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead the finished‑goods operations across multiple warehouse sites. The role is responsible for accurate stockholding, efficient order fulfilment for both local and export customers, and continuous improvement of warehouse processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee finished‑goods inventory, ensuring accuracy, traceability and security across all facilities.
• Develop and manage the annual warehouse plan and operating budget, focusing on cost optimisation and resource planning.
• Coordinate timely execution of local and export sales orders, working closely with Sales, Logistics, Planning, Production and Finance.
• Create, implement and update warehouse policies and procedures in line with legislation, health‑and‑safety and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in space utilisation, operational controls and process efficiency.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, bottling partners, logistics providers and internal stakeholders.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing warehouse team, handling performance management and training.

Required profile

• Matric with a Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehousing, Operations Management or Business Administration.
• 8–10 years of experience in warehousing, distribution or logistics, with at least 5 years in a management or senior supervisory role.
• Proven experience managing finished‑goods inventory in a high‑volume, multi‑site environment.
• Experience in the wine, beverage or FMCG sector is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to manage local and export order fulfilment, including customs documentation and freight coordination.
• Track record of budgeting and cost control.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
