Restaurant Manager

About the role

MY Diners is seeking a full‑time Restaurant Manager for its flagship location in Cape Town. You will lead daily front‑of‑house operations, ensure high standards of food quality, service and cleanliness, and create a welcoming environment for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee floor management, staff supervision and shift planning.
• Coordinate with kitchen leadership to maintain food quality and service flow.
• Handle guest concerns promptly and uphold a family‑friendly atmosphere.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training and performance coaching of team members.
• Monitor inventory, place orders and manage cash‑up and daily reconciliation procedures.
• Assist marketing and promotional activities to drive sales and customer loyalty.

Required profile

• Strong focus on guest experience with proven customer service skills.
• Experience in food & beverage operations and front‑of‑house/kitchen coordination.
• Demonstrated hiring, people management and team‑leadership abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Previous supervisory or management role in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Organisational and problem‑solving capability, especially during busy periods.
• Basic financial understanding of budgets, cost control, cash handling and reconciliation.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
