Reach Truck Driver – Cold Store

About the role
DC Meat Wholesalers is seeking an experienced and reliable Reach Truck Driver to join our cold store team. Applicants must reside in Paarl or the surrounding area.
Key responsibilities
- Allocate stock on and off shelving.
- Move stock from the floor to the cold store.
- Pick stock for customer orders, dispatch and production requirements.
- Update and maintain stock sheets accurately.
- Assist with stock counts and stock takes.
- Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation is implemented and maintained.
- Keep the cold store and work areas clean and tidy at all times.
- Report any reach truck breakdowns or mechanical issues to management immediately.
Required profile
- Valid reach truck licence.
- Previous reach truck driving experience in a warehouse or cold store environment.
- Ability to work in a cold environment.
- Reliable, punctual, hardworking with good communication skills and safety consciousness.
- Good understanding of stock control and FIFO principles.
