Senior Fleet Controller – Paarl

About the role

The Senior Fleet Controller assists, manages and schedules all aspects of transporting cargo for clients, including effective communication with drivers and clients. The role covers daily coordination, scheduling and support of drivers and clients, and is based in Paarl.

Key responsibilities

• Daily communication with drivers and clients
• Ensure cargo is offloaded at the set destination and arrange for an empty truck to receive cargo for the next destination
• Assist drivers and allocated clients, and resolve client cargo queries
• Update night schedules daily and on time
• Assist with company disciplinary matters, including investigating occurrences, initiating inquiries and testifying at disciplinary hearings, including at the bargaining council or CCMA
• Manage assigned clients, dedicated trucks and regional responsibilities, which may change with client needs and company growth
• Comply with all company policies and procedures

Required profile

• National Matric (Grade 12)
• 2 years' experience as a fleet controller
• Bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
• Previous experience in the transport industry is an advantage
