Cost Chain Administrator (Temporary)

About the role

United Exports is looking for a Cost Chain Administrator (temporary) to join its Logistics team in Paarl. The role supports air, sea and road freight operations in a fast-paced environment, for someone who enjoys working with numbers and systems and delivers accurate, efficient administrative support.

Key responsibilities

• Create purchase orders for air, sea and road shipments.
• Review, verify and follow up on vendor invoices.
• Match, approve and sign off invoices for processing and payment.
• Investigate and dispute incorrect rates or charges and request credit notes where required.
• Follow up and resolve supplier payment queries.
• Provide administrative support to the Logistics team and assist with additional logistics tasks and projects as required.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Experience with purchase order processing, invoice matching and invoice approvals.
• Previous experience in a logistics, supply chain, export or fruit industry environment is beneficial.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, strong sense of responsibility, and excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Required skills

• Strong computer literacy, especially Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of logistics cost chains and shipment processes.
• Knowledge of ERP and export systems; familiarity with the fruit export industry is advantageous.
