Rail Transport Programmer

About the role

The Rail Transport Programmer plans and coordinates daily railway operations on signaled lines and yards, ensuring safety, punctuality and efficiency. The role supports the achievement of monthly transport targets while maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental stewardship.

Key responsibilities

• Plan daily railway operations, allocating operator teams and resources to meet service schedules.
• Enter operational performance data and generate management reports to identify improvement areas.
• Ensure compliance with railway safety policies, regulations and company procedures.
• Coordinate maintenance, transport and logistics activities to resolve operational issues and optimise resources.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies, conduct post‑event analysis and propose corrective actions.
• Promote environmental protection and respect for neighboring communities.

Required profile

• Technical University degree in Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Safety or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in railway‑related or transport operations roles.
• Familiarity with railway safety regulations and operational risk management.
• Ability to work analytically, negotiate and communicate assertively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the company’s standardized software packages.
• Knowledge of transport management systems and railway technology.
• Experience applying Lean methodology for process improvement.
