About the role

The Railway Operations Supervisor coordinates daily railway activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and punctual service across the network. Reporting to the Railway Operations Manager, the role oversees operational teams and implements processes to maintain service continuity and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily railway system operations, guaranteeing safety and punctuality.
• Lead, train, and develop the operators team, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
• Monitor operational performance, prepare management reports, and identify improvement areas.
• Ensure compliance with operational policies, procedures, and railway safety regulations.
• Collaborate with maintenance, logistics, and other departments to resolve operational issues and optimize processes.
• Participate in preparing and controlling the operational budget, seeking cost efficiency.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies, conduct post‑event analyses, and propose corrective actions.
• Promote environmental protection and respect for neighboring communities.
• Maintain the area’s management system and adhere to occupational health and safety standards.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the superior in line with unit or company processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum six (6) years of experience in roles related to railway or transport operations.
• Prior experience or training in railway operations and familiarity with railway safety regulations.
• Awareness of occupational risks associated with railway work.
• Proficiency with the company’s standardized software packages and transport management systems.
• Knowledge of Lean process‑improvement methodologies.
