Qualified Accountant – George or Cape Town

About the role

Africorp Accounting is looking for a technically strong, client‑focused Qualified Accountant to join its growing team in George or Cape Town. You will work with some of South Africa’s largest corporate clients, handling full‑cycle accounting and tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting function, including drafting and signing off annual financial statements.
• Perform trust financial accounting and tax reporting, such as tax computations and attribution applications.
• Supervise junior trainee accountants on month‑to‑month tasks.
• Maintain a portfolio of clients with a business‑oriented approach.
• Uphold professional standards, ensure detail‑oriented work, and stay current with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting with Honours and completed articles.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Consultancy, financial industry, or trust experience is advantageous.
• Management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and strong knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs.
