Project Manager – Information Management (12‑Month Contract)

About the role

The Project Manager, Information Management will lead and coordinate a range of projects and programmes within the Centurion portfolio for a twelve‑month period. Reporting to the IM Portfolio Manager, the role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with relevant legislation and corporate governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Audit project progress against agreed tolerances and ensure support offices adhere to corporate governance.
• Update and apply project management best‑practice knowledge and contribute to discipline‑specific standards.
• Create, execute and adapt project work plans, identify resources and assign responsibilities.
• Mitigate risks, manage dependencies and critical paths, and supervise day‑to‑day project execution.
• Implement controls for legal compliance with MHSA, MPRDA, OHSA and SHE management systems.
• Ensure adherence to Enterprise Project Management (EPM) standards and the IM Governance framework.
• Manage project budgets, advise on recovery team selection and oversee financial competency development.
• Lead, coach and develop the project team, oversee recruitment and HR activities, and promote teamwork.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing complex IT or information‑management projects.
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance, risk management and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with South African legislation such as MHSA, MPRDA and OHSA.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, coach staff and manage performance.
• Experience in financial planning, budgeting and audit processes.
