AWS DevOps & Platform Engineering Lead

About the role

This role combines hands‑on AWS DevOps delivery with team leadership. You will split your time between engineering work on migrations, modernisation and managed services, and guiding a DevOps team to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the DevOps engineering team, including hiring, onboarding, performance management and daily work allocation.
• Design and implement secure, scalable AWS architectures and landing zones using AWS Organizations and Control Tower.
• Own technical delivery of DevOps workstreams, produce realistic estimates and keep projects within scope.
• Define and enforce Infrastructure‑as‑Code, CI/CD and GitOps standards with Terraform, CloudFormation, GitHub Actions and GitLab.
• Manage container platforms with Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, Docker and Helm.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting and observability using CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
• Lead incident response, root‑cause analysis and on‑call rotations to meet SLA commitments.

Required profile

• 7+ years of infrastructure, cloud or DevOps experience, with at least 4 years of hands‑on AWS.
• 2+ years of experience leading or managing engineers, including hiring and performance management.
• Proven experience delivering customer‑facing projects in a consulting or managed‑services environment.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or Solutions Architect – Professional (or ability to obtain within six months).
