People Operations & Office Support

About the role

Aerobotics is looking for a proactive, highly organized individual to join the team as People Operations & Office Support. Based in De Waterkant, Cape Town, this fixed‑term role (approximately 10 months) will work closely with the Head of People to ensure smooth HR processes and a productive office environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support HR operations including onboarding, performance management, probation tracking and BambooHR administration.
• Act as the on‑ground liaison for employee needs, communicating feedback to the Head of People.
• Manage day‑to‑day office functions: front‑of‑house duties, deliveries, supplier coordination and oversight of the office cleaner.
• Streamline office management processes and compile internal communications.
• Arrange logistics for company events, team lunches and celebrations.
• Lead one‑off initiatives such as the office revamp, health & safety compliance improvements, recycling program setup, and cost‑optimization proposals.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in HR or facilities management within a startup or scale‑up.
• Proven project‑management and organisational abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
• Customer‑centric service mindset.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Available to work on‑site Monday‑Friday and hold a valid South African work permit.
