People Team In-house Recruiter

About the role

We are looking for an In‑house Recruiter to join our People team in Cape Town. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle for our UK and South Africa operations, ensuring a high‑quality candidate experience and supporting our diversity, inclusion and employer branding initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment process from vacancy approval through to offer acceptance and onboarding.
• Source, attract and assess candidates via job boards, LinkedIn, referrals and talent pipelines.
• Coordinate interviews, candidate communications and selection activities, maintaining a positive candidate experience.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders, providing regular recruitment updates.
• Ensure all recruitment activities comply with employment legislation, GDPR, company policies and right‑to‑work requirements.
• Promote the organisation’s employer brand through career events, social media, apprenticeship, graduate and talent‑attraction initiatives.
• Track recruitment metrics such as time‑to‑fill, quality of hire and cost‑per‑hire, using data to improve processes.

Required profile

• Fluent spoken and written English with professional communication skills.
• Comfortable collaborating via video calls.
• Proactive mindset with a desire to improve processes.
• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence to build relationships across the UK and South Africa.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous experience in a recruitment role (essential).
• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in the UK (advantageous).
• Qualified Psychometrist or equivalent recognised qualification to administer and interpret psychometric assessments (desirable).
