Operational Readiness Manager - Mining and Engineering

About the role

The Operational Readiness Manager is responsible for coordinating operational support, inventory control, expediting and asset management to enable efficient project execution across the organisation. The role ensures that materials, tooling, equipment, fleet, consumables and workshop activities are properly controlled, tracked, expedited and made available to meet operational and project delivery requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage operational readiness activities and coordinate mobilisation of resources, materials, equipment and services with EPCM heads, supervisors, workshop personnel and COMOPS to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
• Oversee human capital for execution teams, including scheduling, skills‑gap identification, training needs, attendance, leave management and compliance with SHEQ and company policies.
• Optimise fleet utilisation, manage licensing, servicing and maintenance schedules, and maintain controls to protect fleet assets from loss or damage.
• Control tooling and consumables by optimising tool utilisation, managing availability, maintenance, certifications and inventory records to ensure stock availability and compliance.

Required profile

• Preferably a trade certificate; additional qualifications are advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an operational role, preferably within the mining and engineering sector.
• Demonstrated operational experience with strong coordination, inventory and asset management capabilities.
