Upholstery Assistant (TC 105)

About the role

Our client is a South African manufacturer specialising in the design and production of high‑quality custom beds, mattresses, headboards, and bases. With a strong focus on craftsmanship, quality materials and personalised sleep solutions, the company delivers uniquely designed products tailored to meet individual customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with covering and repairing furniture, especially chairs.
• Use hand skills to complete furniture upholstery.
• Work with materials and support general factory tasks.
• Operate a sewing machine if skilled.
• Maintain good quality of finished products.
• Work according to production targets and completion requirements.

Required profile

• A certificate in Upholstery/Furniture Upholstery is advantageous.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience is advantageous.
• Experience in upholstery, furniture manufacturing or similar hands‑on work is beneficial.
• Experience with a sewing machine is highly advantageous.
• Good hand‑skills and comfort working with your hands.
• Willingness to learn and ability to learn quickly.
• Strong attention to detail, especially when working with materials and furniture glue.

What we offer

• Salary: R6400 – R7000 net per month (hour rates between R50 – R55).
