Experienced Millwright – Maintenance Team

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Millwright to join the maintenance team of a leading manufacturing organisation in Pretoria East. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability, availability and safe operation of production machinery through both preventative and breakdown maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Attend to breakdowns, fault‑finding and repairs on production machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
• Install, maintain, repair and commission industrial machinery and equipment, including motors, gearboxes, pumps and conveyors.
• Conduct electrical fault‑finding and repairs where required.
• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical and engineering drawings.
• Carry out equipment modifications and improvements to increase reliability and production efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report on equipment failures.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric; N6 or National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is advantageous.
• Qualified Millwright – Trade Tested / Red Seal.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding capabilities with knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
