Midwife Positions – Band 5 & Band 6 (Full/Part Time)

About the role

NHS Grampian is seeking motivated midwives to join its Maternity Service in Aberdeen. Opportunities are available for newly graduated Band 5 midwives and experienced Band 6 midwives on full‑time, part‑time, permanent or temporary contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, person‑centred maternity care to women, birthing people and families.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary maternity teams and wider health‑care partners.
• Deliver safe, effective and compassionate care across inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
• Support the transition to new service models, including the Baird Family Hospital and Continuity of Carer teams.

Required profile

• Qualified midwife (Band 5 or Band 6) registered with the UK regulator.
• Enthusiastic, motivated and able to work flexibly across shift patterns.
• Commitment to NHS values and to delivering high‑standard maternity care.
