Mathematics for IT & Software Engineering Lecturer

About the role

The Academic Institute of Excellence is seeking a dedicated lecturer to teach Mathematics for Information Technology and Software Engineering. This hybrid position combines higher‑education and QCTO‑aligned programmes, supporting students across multiple IT qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver interactive, engaging lectures that develop analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Design, administer and grade assessments, providing timely constructive feedback.
• Contribute to curriculum development and improve teaching resources.
• Perform academic administration to ensure compliance with institutional policies.
• Mentor students, identify at‑risk learners and implement intervention strategies.
• Participate in departmental events, open days, industry engagement and graduation ceremonies.

Required profile

• Relevant higher‑education qualification in Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience teaching at the tertiary level, preferably in IT‑related programmes.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to student success.
• Ability to stay current with trends in IT, software engineering, data science and AI.
