Marketing Officer

About the role

The Gateway Airports Authority Limited (GAAL) is recruiting one Marketing Officer, reporting to the Manager Commercial Services. The role covers marketing, communications, brand management and digital marketing for the aviation sector, with a remuneration of R 318 000 to R 348 909.60 per annum, excluding housing allowance, pension and medical aid.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies aligned with the organisation's objectives and aviation market trends.
• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, customer needs and growth areas.
• Manage and strengthen the brand identity consistently across all communication channels.
• Plan, coordinate and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms, and monitor and optimise them for ROI.
• Manage digital marketing initiatives including website content, SEO, SEM, email marketing and social media.
• Create marketing content and promotional materials for print and digital media.
• Build strategic partnerships, coordinate public relations and manage media relationships.
• Represent the organisation at industry events, exhibitions, trade shows and conferences.
• Manage marketing budgets and ensure compliance with legislation, industry standards and organisational policies.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• NQF Level 6 qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, public relations or graphic design.
• Experience using CRM software and marketing automation platforms.
• Proficiency in graphic design and content creation tools.
• Valid driver's licence; aviation industry experience is an added advantage.
• Willingness to work long hours and travel occasionally for meetings and events.
