Maintenance Technician (FMCG)

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join a well‑established FMCG operation in Springs, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping production equipment running efficiently and safely, ensuring minimal disruption to the manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and address corrective repairs on all production machinery to sustain optimal operational performance.
• Diagnose mechanical faults promptly and execute effective repairs to restore equipment functionality.
• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental regulations while carrying out maintenance tasks.
• Document maintenance activities, including work performed and parts used, in the company’s maintenance management system.

Required profile

• Matriculation or Senior Certificate is required.
• A trade‑tested Mechanical qualification together with an NQF Level 6 Mechanical certification is essential.
• At least two years of practical maintenance experience within a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
