Maintenance Plumber – Hospital Facilities (Band 4)

About the role

The NHS Grampian Estates Department is seeking a qualified Maintenance Plumber to join its in‑house maintenance team at the Foresterhill campus. This permanent, full‑time Band 4 position supports hospital and healthcare facilities across Aberdeen.

Key responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support for hospital and healthcare facilities.
• Carry out water hygiene and legionella control (SHMT 04‑01).
• Install and maintain water service distribution systems.
• Operate and maintain drainage systems.
• Participate in on‑call duties (approximately one week in seven).

Required profile

• Completed plumbing apprenticeship.
• Experience working as part of a maintenance team.
• Knowledge of water hygiene, legionella control, water service installation, and drainage system maintenance.
