Logistics coordinator and Route Planner

About the role

Lifemart is expanding its operations in Port Elizabeth and needs a Logistics Coordinator and Route Planner to manage deliveries across the Eastern Cape, Garden Route and surrounding regions. The role combines route planning, driver coordination and supply‑chain administration to ensure timely and efficient service for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and optimise delivery routes for drivers covering the Eastern Cape and nearby areas.
• Maintain accurate supply‑chain records, databases, delivery notes and invoices.
• Handle outbound delivery planning and inbound reconciliation from drivers.
• Monitor stock levels, reconcile inventory discrepancies and prepare performance reports.
• Coordinate with warehouses, transport and procurement teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Support supplier and customer communication, providing timely responses.
• Source additional delivery drivers when required and assist with manual stock handling.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar logistics or supply‑chain coordination role.
• Strong knowledge of the Eastern Cape and surrounding regions.
• Traceable professional references.
• Diploma or certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Administration is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
