Driver (Code 8 + PDP) – Port Elizabeth

About the role

Our client in the transport and logistics sector is looking for a reliable driver to join their Port Elizabeth team. The role involves daily long‑distance trips to the Garden Route, delivering goods safely and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles for scheduled pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure timely, damage‑free delivery and proper securing of loads.
• Complete delivery paperwork, vehicle logs and proof‑of‑delivery documents.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any defects.
• Provide courteous customer service at delivery and collection points.
• Follow all road‑safety regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• Valid Code 8 driver’s licence and a current Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• Reliable, honest and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Previous light‑ to medium‑vehicle driving experience is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of local routes and safe driving practices.
• Willingness to travel daily from Port Elizabeth to the Garden Route.
• Physically able to assist with loading and unloading when required.
• Valid South African ID and a clean driving record.
