About the role
This 12‑month internship offers hands‑on experience in the daily operations of a quick‑service or casual‑dining restaurant. You will work under supervision to develop a solid foundation in restaurant management and brand compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with opening and closing procedures across all restaurant sections.
- Supervise and motivate the on‑duty team, providing on‑the‑job training and coaching.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock issuance.
- Maintain operational standards and deliver detailed feedback.
- Protect brand integrity through compliance with policies.
- Handle customer queries and complaints in a professional manner.
Required profile
- South African citizen aged 18‑28.
- Never participated in a YES programme.
- Matric mandatory; tertiary qualification in food‑service related field preferred.
- Graduate‑level experience is a plus.
Required skills
- Computer literacy.
- Financial literacy.
