Junior Shift Manager – Logistics Operations

About the role

ttakealot.com, South Africa's leading online retailer, is expanding to a three‑shift model and needs a motivated Junior Shift Manager to run a full shift independently. You will lead a team of Champions, ensure operational targets are met, and support a fast‑growing, dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Run a complete shift autonomously, overseeing outbound KPI’s such as shipping customer orders by 5 pm daily.
• Enforce SLA compliance and maintain picking & packing productivity.
• Control labour costs, manage packing material usage, and ensure housekeeping standards.
• Set clear goals for team members and monitor performance.
• Review and improve internal processes continuously.
• Apply company values, maintain safety standards, and improve order lead times.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate); a higher certificate in Supply Chain or Logistics is preferred.
• 3‑5 years supervisory experience in logistics or distribution.
• Strong people‑management, oral and written communication skills.
• Proven decision‑making, problem‑solving and change‑management abilities.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends, in a 7/365 operational setting.
• Self‑starter with high energy, able to work in a multicultural team.
