IM Technician (Operational Technology Support)

About the role

The IM Technician will join the IM Support Team to maintain, support and optimise the Information Management infrastructure across mining operations. The role focuses on Operational Technology, network and server environments, end‑user devices and industrial IoT, ensuring system integrity, availability and performance in a safety‑critical mining setting.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain network, server and end‑user infrastructure across mining sites.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and infrastructure incidents, including OT devices and IoT systems.
• Perform maintenance, testing and diagnostics on wireless networks, printers, security and access‑control systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot OT devices, industrial wireless networks, Rajant Networks and Time & Attendance systems.
• Follow SOPs, create and update technical documentation, and keep accurate ticket records.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors and service providers to develop SOPs and knowledge‑transfer plans.
• Meet SLA targets, provide regular incident updates and support business continuity initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience supporting Windows operating systems and operational technology environments.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities and technical expertise in fast‑paced mining operations.
• Commitment to safety, compliance and high‑quality customer service.
• Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and mentor junior staff.
