Human Resources Assistant

About the role

MJM Recruitment is hiring a Human Resources Assistant based in Brakenfall, Cape Town. The post covers a wide range of HR administration tasks, including payroll processing, recruitment support and employee file maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Process payroll
• Assist with recruitment activities and draft employment onboarding documents
• Update employee files and KPI trackers
• Complete management monthly attendance registers, weekly reports and audits
• Handle ad hoc HR queries
• Order and distribute uniforms and PPE, and compile the agency incentives report for monthly payment
• Take minutes of meetings or disciplinary enquiries where necessary
• Coordinate stores forklift training, freezer medicals and other events such as long-service, peak and appreciation meals
• Prepare and update files for Covid-19 internal or external audits or DOL visits
• Assist with projects

Required profile

• B.Com degree in HR Management or Industrial Psychology, or equivalent tertiary education
• At least 1 year of experience in HR administration

• Basic knowledge of labour law and recruitment techniques
