Human Resource Clerk – Human Resource Management

About the role

The Department of Employment and Labour is recruiting three Human Resource Clerks within Human Resource Management at its Provincial Office in Kimberley, Northern Cape. This is a 3-year contract opportunity for candidates with a Grade 12 who want to build experience in public-sector human resource administration. The position is office-based.

Key responsibilities

• Support recruitment and selection administration
• Process conditions of service
• Assist with leave and employee benefits
• Support performance management
• Handle HR enquiries
• Capture and manage HR information
• Perform related HR administrative duties

Required profile

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent; no experience required
• Computer literacy
• Good communication skills
• Organising, planning, time management and problem-solving abilities

Advantageous

• Knowledge of PERSAL
• HR information management experience
• Registry knowledge
• Knowledge of the Public Service legislative framework

• Salary of R237,453 per year, plus 37% in lieu of benefits
