HPE Networking Territory Manager

About the role

HPE is hiring a Networking Territory Manager in Johannesburg. The role is designed as onsite, with the expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE partner or customer office. It is an expert-level account management position, acting as the single point of contact for several large named accounts in an assigned country, territory and/or industry, and is supported mainly by presales and inside sales.

Key responsibilities

• Build growth opportunities through the account planning process, with scheduled reviews and updates.
• Work extensively with external partners to deliver solution sales.
• Spend a significant amount of time with customers, engaging all levels including top management, and develop business plans with them.
• Use consultative selling to create ongoing profitable revenue growth and maintain customer loyalty and trust.
• Manage quarterly, half-yearly and annual quotas and margins, and implement margin recovery strategies.
• Maintain a weekly pipeline in the pipeline tool and follow industry-leading pipeline management practices.
• Act as first interface for international accounts with global and local teams, and choose between Volume Direct and indirect supply chains.

Required profile

• University or bachelor's degree.
• Typically 8-12 years of experience, with industry experience and experience in product specialties such as computers, printers, servers and storage.
• Viewed as an expert in the company, sought out by other sales representatives and managers.

Required skills

• Leadership, time management and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Advanced sales negotiation and deal closing, and end-to-end sales process management in large deals.
• Partner management and account resource leadership.
• Competitive selling and ability to sell across platform and specialty.
