Group Human Resources Manager

About the role

Evergreen Lifestyle is seeking a Group Human Resources Manager to lead HR strategy across its retirement villages in South Africa. The role will shape people initiatives, ensure compliance, and support a positive workplace culture while travelling between key sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage employee relations, addressing grievances and demands.
• Oversee end‑to‑end recruitment and selection processes.
• Design, monitor, and improve HR systems and procedures organization‑wide.
• Partner with senior leaders to create training programmes and individual development plans.
• Submit annual training and employment‑equity reports to the Department of Labour.
• Drive transformation initiatives and maintain a positive working environment.
• Project‑manage people‑related projects and ensure labour‑law compliance.
• Perform HR administrative duties as required.

Required profile

• Minimum five years’ experience as a Group HR Manager, preferably in the health sector.
• Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour law and HR best practices.
• Willingness to travel between Cape Town, Paarl and Gauteng.
• South African citizenship, own vehicle and a valid driver’s licence.
