Financial Modelling Analyst - Sales Remuneration

About the role

Liberty, a prominent financial services group, is looking for a Financial Modelling Analyst in Johannesburg. The role strengthens the effectiveness of sales remuneration and incentive structures within the long-term insurance division, using analytical and financial modelling to shape how sales teams are rewarded so that they are motivating and financially sound.

Key responsibilities

• Design new incentive models, optimise existing ones and set up governance frameworks to ensure their integrity.
• Build and maintain financial models that reflect sales performance, commission structures and profitability drivers.
• Analyse trends, opportunities and risks in the sales remuneration landscape.
• Give data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Work with sales, finance and actuarial teams to gather requirements.
• Monitor the performance of incentive programmes and adjust them as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies on financial modelling and sales compensation.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification, such as a first degree in Finance, Accounting, Quantitative Studies or Actuarial Science.
• 3 to 4 years of demonstrable experience in financial modelling.
• Proven experience in business analytics and complex financial models.
• Solid understanding of statistical and mathematical analysis techniques.
• Experience in the long-term insurance sector is an advantage.
