About the role

Nedbank is advertising a Client Advisor position in Rosebank, Johannesburg, within its Sales and Service job family and Sales career stream. The role acts as a key point of contact for clients needing help with banking products, account services, digital banking and financial solutions, combining customer service, sales, relationship management and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Understand client needs and explain banking products and services, recommending appropriate solutions in line with bank policy and legislation.
• Assist customers with financial enquiries and support the use of self-service digital banking solutions.
• Educate clients about digital banking channels and secure, convenient alternatives to traditional banking.
• Build trust with customers, keep them informed on the progress of applications and resolve or refer outstanding requests.
• Identify sales opportunities and promote banking products responsibly, prioritising customer needs.
• Follow banking legislation, internal procedures and operational controls, including FICA and FAIS requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma; a FAIS-approved qualification is preferred.
• One to two years of experience in retail or banking client service, sales or relationship management.
• Ability to respond to client enquiries and deliver service that supports positive customer experiences.
• Understanding of sales processes, customer needs analysis and product recommendation.
• Ability to build trust, manage customer requests and adapt to changing customer needs and regulatory requirements.
