Financial Manager – V&A Waterfront, Cape Town

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Manager to lead the finance function for a group of businesses operating at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. The role covers multiple entities, trusts, property portfolios and international transactions within the hospitality, property and investment sector.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full financial function across companies, trusts and property‑holding entities locally and internationally.
• Manage consolidated reporting, budgeting, financial controls and trust accounting.
• Ensure compliance with South African tax legislation, VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL and income‑tax requirements.
• Handle inter‑company transactions, multi‑currency accounting and foreign‑exchange processes.
• Coordinate international payments and cross‑border financial management.
• Maintain compliance with Compensation Fund and COIDA regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CA(SA), CIMA, SAIPA or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Financial Manager role.
• Proven experience managing multiple companies, trusts and property entities.
• Strong understanding of South African tax legislation and trust compliance.
• Experience with consolidated reporting and inter‑company transactions.
• Knowledge of multi‑currency accounting and foreign‑exchange processes.
• Experience with international payments and cross‑border transactions.
• Familiarity with VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL, income‑tax, Compensation Fund and COIDA requirements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Xero, Sage or Pastel.
• Strong analytical, leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
