Accounting Clerk

About the role

Join the Energy Technology division of Baker Hughes as an Accounting Clerk. You will work under limited supervision, handling a wide range of accounting tasks and supporting the finance team in a fast‑moving, innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process and maintain accurate accounting records, including supplier invoices, credit notes, customer invoices, receipts, bank transactions, journals and fixed‑asset records.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, perform supplier reconciliations, prepare payments, allocate customer payments and resolve queries.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer and general‑ledger reconciliations ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Support month‑end close by preparing schedules, reports, reconciliations and audit documentation.
• Monitor open purchase orders, GRIR balances and related financial records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures and confidentiality requirements.
• Identify and contribute to continuous process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
