Senior Auditor – Remote & Onsite (South Africa/Europe)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Auditor to join leading audit and professional services firms across Europe. The role involves planning, executing and finalising external audit engagements for international clients, with the flexibility to work remotely from South Africa or onsite abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and finalise external audit engagements for multiple clients.
• Manage day‑to‑day audit fieldwork, perform audit procedures and review financial statements for accuracy.
• Identify and assess audit risks, evaluate internal controls and document findings.
• Apply IFRS and relevant professional standards throughout the audit process.
• Prepare working papers, reports and client deliverables that meet quality standards.
• Supervise and support junior team members and liaise with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Maintain high audit quality while meeting tight deadlines in fast‑paced environments.

Required profile

• Qualified CA(SA) or currently completing SAICA articles, or hold an equivalent audit qualification.
• Experience at Audit Senior level or recent qualification with a desire for international exposure.
• Willingness to work remotely or travel for onsite assignments as required.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS.
• Familiarity with audit methodology and professional standards.
