Finance Manager – Operations (Bellville)

About the role

You will be responsible for reporting the financial performance of a selected business unit, ensuring the integrity, accuracy and completeness of all financial records in line with IFRS and group policies. The role involves leading a team of accountants and providing oversight on all reporting cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate general ledger entries and complete weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packs, including reconciliations, management, tax and audit packs.
• Review inputs from site cost accountants and shared service centre accountants for monthly reporting.
• Compile annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and weekly profit estimates, applying appropriate assumptions.
• Maintain financial systems, controls and a complete fixed‑asset register; authorize journals and approve reconciliations.
• Oversee electronic payments, stock‑take procedures and insurance renewal submissions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Tiger Brands policies and organisational design frameworks.
• Manage departmental risk register, monitor risk mitigation and drive remedial actions.
• Support workforce planning, talent management, performance reviews and succession planning within the finance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum 480 credits).
• Qualified Chartered Accountant – CA(SA) (non‑negotiable).
• 5‑7 years of experience in a finance management role.
