About the role
Umzimvubu Local Municipality is recruiting committed individuals for a range of EPWP (Expanded Public Works Programme) positions. All roles are 24‑month fixed‑term contracts with monthly stipends and involve delivering essential community services.
Key responsibilities
- Perform duties specific to each position, such as traffic monitoring, refuse collection, data capture, library assistance, and cash handling.
- Report incidents, maintain accurate records, and support supervision or enforcement activities as required.
Required profile
- Minimum educational qualification as stated per position (Grade 10–12, or relevant diploma).
- Proof of residence and a certified ID copy; criminal record clearance where applicable.
Required skills
- Computer literacy or certification (as required for data‑capturer, cashier, librarian, etc.).
- Valid driving licence for roles involving vehicle operation (code EC/C, EB, or similar).
