Enrolled Nurse - Trauma & Emergency

About the role

Lenmed is recruiting an Enrolled Nurse for the Trauma & Emergency department at Shifa Private Hospital in Durban. The nurse provides direct and/or indirect nursing care to patients and works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and Unit Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Keep the ward clean, safe and free from medico-legal hazards
• Contribute to the holistic care of patients and promote their overall health and wellbeing
• Take part in the ward's quality improvement programme
• Attend shift handovers and communicate effectively with patients about their care
• Refer patient and doctor complaints to the unit sister-in-charge
• Complete all departmental duties and delegated tasks on time

Required profile

• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse
• Compliance with the SANC code for Enrolled Nurses and applicable healthcare legislation
• Two years of nursing experience is an advantage
• Flexibility to work different hours, shifts and rotate between wards
