Enrolled Nurse

About the role

This position is for an Enrolled Nurse who will support a clinical research study focused on HIV, ARV treatment and related health services. The role involves direct patient interaction, sample collection, and data management while adhering to infection control guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct informed consent processes with study participants.
• Perform clinical examinations, phlebotomy, and sample collection.
• Facilitate receipt of laboratory results and transcribe data onto case report forms.
• Administer study‑specific questionnaires and recruit participants.
• Provide HIV/AIDS counselling and education.
• Maintain stock control and handle study administration tasks.

Required profile

• Grade 12 with a Nursing Certificate as Enrolled Nurse.
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• HIV/AIDS counselling qualification.
• Minimum two years experience in HIV/ARV care, phlebotomy, and STI management.
• Knowledge of COVID‑19 infection control and prevention guidelines.
• Fluency in English; isiZulu preferred.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
