About the role
Lead and manage the Paediatric Neurosurgery Clinical Unit, ensuring high standards of clinical care, ethics, and governance.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee unit administration, staff performance, and service delivery.
- Provide specialist clinical services, including outpatient care, consultations and neurosurgical emergencies.
- Participate in after‑hours consultant cover and lead training of undergraduate and postgraduate students and allied health staff.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols for paediatric neurosurgery and related conditions.
- Support clinical audit, quality assurance programmes and promote outreach to strengthen regional paediatric neurosurgery services.
- Ensure efficient and cost‑effective use of resources and promote research and academic development.
