East Africa Travel Consultant – Luxury Safari Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced East Africa Travel Consultant to join our award‑winning luxury safari specialist in Cape Town. The role focuses on designing and managing bespoke safari itineraries for high‑end clients, ensuring every journey is seamless from the first inquiry to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver tailor‑made East Africa safari itineraries that match each client’s preferences and travel style.
• Provide end‑to‑end customer service throughout enquiry, booking and pre‑departure phases.
• Accurately manage reservations, coordinating all components of the travel package.
• Liaise with suppliers, lodges, guides and other in‑destination partners to secure optimal options.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of East African destinations, properties, wildlife and conservation initiatives.
• Represent the company at industry events and educational trips to deepen destination expertise.
• Collaborate with internal teams to uphold high service standards.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of senior‑level experience in luxury travel, specifically focused on East Africa.
• Proven track record in travel consulting, itinerary planning and reservations management.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to build lasting supplier relationships.
• Passion for East African wildlife, landscapes, lodges and conservation stories.
