Dispatch Manager

About the role

A leading furniture manufacturer based in Johannesburg is looking for a strategic and highly organised Dispatch Manager. You will lead the outbound logistics function, ensuring that finished goods reach customers on time while supporting broader organisational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all outbound deliveries to meet customer booking requirements and delivery windows.
• Manage third‑party logistics (3PL) providers to guarantee accurate and punctual dispatch of finished goods.
• Collaborate with Sales and Production Planning to optimise delivery efficiency and resolve bottlenecks.
• Oversee the processing of Purchase Orders (POs) and Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation.
• Monitor dispatch procedures continuously, identifying cost‑saving opportunities and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics Management or a related supply‑chain field.
• Minimum 5 years of dispatch management experience in manufacturing or FMCG environments.
• Advanced computer literacy with strong ERP and MS Office skills.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a dispatch team in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive problem‑solver with strong attention to detail and adaptability during peak periods.
