Diagnostic Technician – Premium Automotive Dealership

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a well‑established premium automotive dealership in Malmesbury, Western Cape. The Diagnostic Technician will join a professional service department, delivering accurate diagnosis and repair of complex vehicle faults while upholding the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and fault‑finding on mechanical, electrical and electronic systems using Mercedes‑Benz equipment.
• Diagnose and repair complex technical faults in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance as required.
• Complete job cards accurately and maintain detailed service records.
• Utilise workshop management systems to track work progress and parts usage.

Required profile

• Immediate or short‑notice availability.
• Qualified Motor Vehicle Technician (Red Seal Trade Test).
• Mercedes‑Benz Diagnostic Technician Certification.
• Previous experience in a Mercedes‑Benz dealership or premium automotive environment.
• Valid South African driver’s licence and professional appearance.
