Customer Assistant / Replenisher

About the role

Join Woolworths at Fountains Mall in Jeffreys Bay as a Customer Assistant / Replenisher. You will be the first point of contact for shoppers, ensuring a friendly experience while keeping shelves fully stocked and compliant with hygiene and cold‑chain standards. The role combines customer service with stock management in a fast‑moving retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Replenish stock, implement accurate rotation and maintain visually appealing shelves.
• Maintain hygiene standards and cold‑chain protocols when handling food products.
• Identify and report quality concerns, shrinkage, sell‑outs and any suspicious activities.
• Follow planograms, shelf labeling and keep the department clean and organized.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and communicate promotions or benefits to shoppers.

Required profile

• Minimum education: Grade 12 or National Certificate equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy for stock systems and documentation.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts with reliability and good time management.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and excellent interpersonal communication.
• Attention to detail for accurate stock replenishment and quality checks.
• Commitment to hygiene standards, cold‑chain maintenance and reporting irregularities.
• Team player who contributes to a clean, safe and well‑organized workplace.
• Personal leadership qualities such as punctuality, dress‑code compliance and active participation in team meetings.
