Banking Financial Clerk – Fourways, Gauteng

About the role

Reporting to the Finance Banking Manager, the role ensures the timely reconciliation of all company bank and general‑ledger accounts and supports the banking team in Fourways, Gauteng.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile all company bank and GL accounts within the stipulated time period.
• Collect documentation from stores, address queries and discrepancies, and ensure policies and timelines are followed.
• Incorporate new business developments into daily reconciliation processes.
• Liaise with local and foreign banks regarding charges and cash‑banking queries.
• Resolve all queries within permitted timeframes and achieve KPI targets.
• Provide stand‑in support for the banking team as needed.
• Coordinate with external and internal audit as required.

Required profile

• Matric/Grade 12 qualification; post‑matric qualifications are advantageous.
• Experience in a finance retail environment and general finance processes such as bank reconciliations, foreign currency translation, and resolving bank discrepancies.
• Strong computer proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
