Audit Supervisor – Lead Audit Team

About the role

We are looking for an Audit Supervisor to lead a team of trainee accountants at a reputable audit and accounting firm in Tygervalley. This position offers the chance to manage full audit engagements while developing your expertise in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full engagement cycles, including compilations, independent reviews, audits and agreed‑upon procedures.
• Collaborate directly with portfolio managers and engagement partners.
• Mentor and train trainee accountants on‑the‑job.
• Review trainees’ work, complete SAICA assessment forms and ensure compliance with audit standards.
• Handle administrative duties such as timesheet submissions and monitoring work‑progress overruns.

Required profile

• SAICA‑endorsed qualification.
• Experience with CaseWare, Excel, Word, Pastel and Microsoft Outlook; Profsoft experience is a plus.
• Background in compilations, independent reviews, audits and tax calculations.
• Knowledge of IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, VAT, Income Tax, Companies Act and Auditing Standards.
• Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
